The Role:

The Vice President, Creative Advertising demonstrates breakthrough thinking & rainmaking in creative ideation and execution. This position must have strong leadership skills and is able to motivate a team to ideate and create best in class content for integrated marketing campaigns. This position is a passionate Creative contributor with strong relationships in the Advertising and Production worlds.  As a positive, inspirational leader and mentor, the VP, Creative Advertising will lead teams to deliver compelling, effective and FUN creative for all platforms.

Understanding the Spin Master consumer is critical, and this position must look at all creative from a child’s point of view.  In addition, the unique ability to transform creative for multiple audiences for the same brand is critical.  The Vice President, Creative Advertising must have experience developing creative across all mediums, but specifically kids/ toy focused content media platforms.  They must also have understanding and experience creating compelling and sharable content across digital and social platforms.

In addition, collaboration and team work is the foundation to success for this role, with a unique ability to work with all levels of management and cross functional partners.  The VP, Creative Advertising partners closely with the VP, Integrated Campaign Management in delivering multiple integrated campaigns to market. 

Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Creative Officer, this position will push the limits of creativity and inspire the creative teams to deliver best in class, ground breaking, out of the box campaigns.



  • Direct and manage the development of all creative assets for multiple integrated campaigns at a time, including video, digital, social media, shopper marketing, experiential / out of home and other assets deemed necessary per any given marketing plan.
  • Collaborate with VP, Integrated Campaign Management and Cross Functional Partners to ensure Creative is on strategy & delivers against defined consumer targets and marketing objectives.
  • Lead teams to push the boundaries on innovative (out of the box) thinking, yet still adhere to COPPA regulations and kid’s safety.
  • Elevate the creative output of internal teams & agency partners to ensure that all assets meet our high level of creativity and innovation.
  • Direct in-house and out-of house resources to ensure that campaigns are of the highest level of quality.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships across the company. Leverage those relationships to develop creative assets that benefit all partners involved.
  • Manage creative development budgets, aligning with brand owner and COE partners.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple, complex creative campaigns that are global in nature under extremely tight deadlines

You should apply if you have the following:

  • Minimum 4-year degree in advertising design, creative writing or Journalism field
  • 10+ Years of Experience in the Entertainment, Agency or Toy Company areas within a Creative Advertising Role
  • Relevant creative and production team management experience with a major studio or television network, advertising/marketing agency or production company or kid’s consumer products company
  • On set Production Experience
