Job Overview:

 Reporting to the Global Director of Supply Planning, the successful candidate should have experience in operations, inventory planning, and/or product life cycles. The successful candidate must be a demonstrated leader able to drive results and build a strong team.  He/she must be able to manage large catalogue selection, be solution-oriented & able to build/improve efficient processes. This person will be highly analytical, flexible, action and results oriented, self-starting, and be comfortable with computer databases and tools. Ideal candidates will have hands-on, operations or inventory management experience and knowledge in business operations.  SAP and APICS background a significant plus.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the Toronto team which includes 2 team leaders and 10-12 Global Supply Planners. Provide support, remove obstacles and share workload. Balance the priorities of the department. 
  • Ensure all supply planning procedures are well documented, measured and adhered to. Continually review and strive for continuous 
  • Develop and manage the fundamentals of inventory planning in order to maintain adequate levels of Inventory. Drive optimization of SAP MRP and Replenishment activities.
  • Responsible to drive Supply Planning KPIs – Inventory Turns, Days of Supply and non-performing inventory at the Finished Good and Product Family level.
  • Proactively manage inventory in order to decrease inventory levels.
  • Provide inventory projections & space requirements to the logistics team.
  • Communicate Supply constraints including Production Forecasts to key stakeholders and external Vendors.
  • Work closely with International and Domestic Sales Team to reduce/eliminate excess of FG, and expedite to resolve inventory constraints.
  • Build strong working relationship with manufacturing partners as well as Asia Planning team to meet the needs of the business, and minimize raw material inventory.
  • Monitor and help resolve customer service related issues for assigned products in support of customers, brand manager & Sales parties.
  • Build strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders in an effort to, bring forth continuous improvements and improved KPIs.
  • Drive efficient execution of the S&OP process with a mind for optimization. Prepare Supply Agreement Meeting (SAM) analysis & reports in support of the S&OP Process.
  • Ensure readiness of weekly and monthly reports. Review contents and formats prior to presenting during Supply Agreement Meeting, S&OP meetings, and Excess & Obsolete Inventory Meeting.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated Leadership skills.
  • 5+ years in an Operations Planning role.
  • Expertise in Planning, MRP and SAP would be preferred.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize.
  • Experience in CPG sector would be a plus.
  • University Degree and/or College Diploma.
  • Willingness to travel; approximately 10%.
  • Sense of humour, light hearted and positive attitude.
