The Job:

As a Structural Packaging Engineer, you will design, develop & test a variety of structural packaging to meet Spin Master’s standards, branding objectives and project plans.

What we can expect from you:

  • Coordination of efforts of engineering, quality, manufacturing, design, marketing, packaging design into innovative and functional packaging structure designs for new and existing products
  • Developing and produce complex conceptual and assembly designs for retail packaging
  • Maintaining knowledge of packaging technologies and trends related to design, materials, and machinery in order to drive innovation and functionality
  • Performing preliminary package feasibilities to determine proper package size, package style and affordability.
    General knowledge of graphic printing, associated equipment and materials
  • Accountability for Cost, Schedule and Performance of the designs for which you have developed
  • Creative/innovative thinking towards solutions in designing a variety of retail packages for best possible shelf appeal
  • Collaboration with overseas manufacturing and quality engineers to ensure parties are aligned on all issues related to ongoing projects

You should apply if you have the following:

  • Minimum of 3 years designing and developing retail within the Industry
  • Hands-on experience with various packaging technologies, materials, and assembly processes in addition to a sound understanding of the costs and manufacturing processes associated with each
  • Skilled with Illustrator, Artios CAD programs with experience producing conceptual and assembly drawings (including interior protective packaging and inserts)
