The Role: 

The Tax Incentives Administrator is responsible for managing the tax credits for all Entertainment, Brand and App productions under the Spin Master Ltd. and Spin Master Entertainment (SME). 

What we can expect from you:                                                                                                                                                

  • You'll be responsible for all CAVCO, OMDC, CRTC and CMF applications from initial submission to final certification on a timely basis.
  • You'll manage reporting requirements for film tax credits ensuring all productions adhere to the rules.
  • To organize all production audit deliverables with external Auditor.
  • To organize production company year-end tax return requirements ensuring all documents and filings are completed with Auditor.
  • You'll liaise with all CRA auditors.
  • To keep current with changes to funding agency requirements by attending industry sessions and monitoring published bulletins.

Job Requirements

  • A strong team player who can leverage direction and experience, to fulfill the initiatives, current practices and priorities of the Entertainment Department.

You should apply if you have the following:

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or business affairs, preferably within a team in small to medium sized company and have worked in the Film/Animation industry.
  • Degree in accounting and/or finance.
  • Accounting designation an asset.
  • Knowledge of CAVCO and Provincial Tax Credit system
  • Knowledge of, or experience in, animation production an asset.
