Job Overview:

 

Are you a creative and energetic individual with a passion for toys? Spin Master is looking for a dynamic Shopper Marketing Associate with retail and shopper marketing experience who will be a key contributor to the Toronto Trade Marketing Team.

The Shopper Marketing Associate Will:

  • Through developing a strong Retail Marketing partnership with Key Retail Accounts, the Shopper Marketing Associate helps Spin Master achieve Annual Sales growth targets and helps Spin Master effectively compete with other major Toy Manufacturers.
  • The Shopper Marketing Associate plays a pivotal support role in Spin Master’s continuing partnership development with Retailers throughout USA and Canada and International Markets.
  • The Shopper Marketing Associate will be a key member of the Marketing Department responsible for supporting an advanced Shopper Marketing capability by influencing the complete Shopper Experience rooted in Insights Driven Programming.
  • The Shopper Marketing Associate will provide thought leadership and drive best in class executions while continuously evaluating Shopper Marketing tactics via a disciplined analytical mindset.
  • The Shopper Marketing Associate will work closely with the Shopper Insights group, Account Teams, PR and Event Teams, Product Marketing, Creative Advertising Design, the Visual Design and HK Engineering Teams.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • To Support and co-develop Shopper Engagement playbook that serves as an internal resource guide to drive development and execution
  • Manage agencies, partnerships and resourcing to ensure success
  • Collaborate and connect and build relationships with retailers and Spin Master to drive best in class shopper engagement and conversion
  • To support leadership in driving for efficiency improvement of all Shopper Marketing investments (ROI)
  • Co-lead development of Shopper Marketing strategies to deliver against Hershey’s plan imperatives
  • Lead strategic discussions with Sales and Marketing to ensure brand messaging is consistent and effectively communicated across Retail channels
  • Support the development of Creative Briefs for Retail Marketing Programs
  • Distribute Spin Master brand assets relating to Retail Marketing POP projects to internal and external users
  • Gather and Report Market information (Retailer Activities, Competitive Toy Company Retail Activities, Shopper Behavior Insights) 
  • Support the Project Manager on Retail Marketing projects
  • Support Account Teams in preparing Retail Marketing and Prepack Display pitches
  • Align with International Trade Marketing Coordinator to understand needs and unique requirements for Key International Accounts with objectives
  • Maintain complete and ongoing record of Retail Marketing Budget and provide Quarterly updates to Finance Team

Job Requirements

Skills 

  • Degree in Business/Sales/Marketing/Supply Chain or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a CPG or retail environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience communicating and presenting to wide breadth of audiences including senior management
  • Superior strategic thinking and planning
  • Overall business acumen and holistic general management mindset
  • Strong leadership behaviours and ability to innovate
  • Takes initiative in pursuing objectives and ability to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met
  • Proven success in project management involving diverse functional stakeholders
  • Willingness to be a part of a high performing team that works hard and has fun!

  • Self motivated and “Team Player”
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Bonus: Nielsen Desktop Answers and SAP
