Senior Vice President, Global Sales -- New Jersey

The Role:

  • Provide leadership and coordination of Gund’s worldwide sales functions. Develop and implement sales strategies and monitor all activity and performance against goals.
  • This position is located in Edison, NJ with occasional work in NYC, other company locations, trade shows and customer’s offices.

What we can expect from you:

  • Direct and coordinate all of Gund’s sales functions worldwide.
  • Develop and coordinate sales selling cycles and methodology.
  • Direct and oversee the development new markets and customers.
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results and seek improvement.
  • Develop and manage sales budgets and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets.
  • Visit select customers and assist in selling to the company’s top accounts.
  • Create goals and manage the performance of Field, Tele-Sales, HQ and International Sales managers.
  • Coordinate needs and the performance of Customer Service and Credit and Collections with the leadership of these functions in Toronto office.
  • Create goals and manage the performance of the Sales Support manager.
  • Coordinate the planning and development of company’s trade marketing and collateral communication materials, trade shows with the Trade Marketing team.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures to enhance operations and build revenue.

Job Requirements

Who’s a good fit for this team:        

  • Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of hiring, training, and change management. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations. Experience in planning sales strategies, and customer service.
  • Work requires exceptional written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality results within given timeframes and manage several projects simultaneously. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel domestically and internationally as needed.

You should apply if you have the following:

  • This position is best filled by one with a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Marketing or Business Administration and with ten or more years of experience in a senior-level sales position.
  • Candidate must have five years of experience successfully leading a $100+ million sales organization in the toy or children’s field or with related products.
