The Job:

Spin Master’s Advance Concept Team is looking for a highly motivated, organized, analytical and results-driven individual to join our team.   The Coordinator manages the Team’s Project Tracking & Reporting, and assists in the preparation, presentation and reporting of ACT projects and related status updates.    Responsibilities also include conducting research to assess new product or business opportunities.

 

Typically, these research projects may include reporting on trends; new technologies; historic & competitive product references, consumer insights and retail sales & financial data analysis.  Candidates must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, a solid understanding of how to conduct online research, data compilation and analysis, and be proficient in multi-tasking.    A proactive, creative drive and imagination, combined with sound business judgment and a demonstrated commitment to superior quality are required for success in this role.

 

What we can expect from you:

  • Maintain and update ACT’s project data base that helps us track the progress and quality of work being performed by the ACT team—this includes start/completion times, project budgets, expenditures and revenue contributions, project complexity & duration, and project next steps. 
  • Assist in the preparation & presentation of ACT projects and related project updates or reviews, including,
    • Preparing Meeting Agendas, compiling presentation videos/reference materials needed for meetings.
    • Attending meetings & preparing & distributing meeting notes.
    • Preparing & distributing project status reports , project summary reports 
  • Internal & External Project Related Communications
  • Conduct research & analysis on new business opportunities providing fact -based summary reports and recommendations.  Utilize internet searches, NPD or other databases, interviews with internal & external experts, as well as retail store checks.   Research projects may also include:
    • Reports on trends & new technologies that may be applicable to our current products, brands or new business opportunities
    • Play pattern analysis to identify product attributes & benefits, performance capabilities and features as compared to competitive products. 
  • Help maintain ACT’s digital library of assets, including historic presentations, Research reports, new product prototype images and/or videos.     
  • Assist team in conducting new project due diligence as needed:
  • Work with internal Quality Engineering to evaluate potential safety of a new product, providing Engineering with supporting documentation and/or samples needed to assess the product.
  • Work with Cost Engineering to evaluate estimated unit cost of a proposed new item, assembling and providing engineering with costing package materials needed.

Job Requirements

  • Provide high quality and timely analysis & research that will support the team in identifying & developing new innovate products or brands to create incremental revenue opportunities.  Effectively utilize all available on line & data base resources available.
  • Efficiently manage and track all projects and prepare timely and accurate related status reports  
  • Effectively manage& prioritize multiple time sensitive projects
  • Strong presentation & communication skills

  • Highly Proficient Computer Skills required:   Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook e-mail, Outlook appointments, Internet Browser QuickTime, NPD, Video Editor or Movie Maker, PhotoEditor, IrfanView for viewing Mac files and Cad files as required.  Experience with SAP a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Detail oriented individual with strong analytical, math and creative problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Works well juggling multiple deadlines without sacrificing attention to detail and understanding budget constraints
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Demonstrates passion and excitement about new ideas, concepts, technologies
