Job Description:

Spin Master is looking for a Senior Manager, Growth Initiatives to help innovate how we market to consumers and set the pace of change in kids toys and entertainment. Reporting directly into the EVP, Marketing and E-Commerce, the Senior Manager, Growth Initiatives is the driver of key future-focused projects that will make Spin Master’s marketing as innovative as its products. Highly entrepreneurial, the Lead will be responsible for building a lean model for marketing innovation including media and technology amongst other areas. They are the conductor across the marketing center of excellence leads who will help coordinate the right goals, talent, and processes to build initiatives that will help us connect with changing consumers and capture growth and value for the organization. This person is incredibly strategic and analytical- able to isolate specific problems and opportunities, set clear hypotheses/goals, and develop plans to test initiatives. He or she is well-versed in design thinking, and is a proven problem-solver, facilitator, and enabler. The Lead will be applying start-up/growth techniques into a business at scale.

  • Provide thought leadership on market-leading trends grounded in innovation and digital technology
  • Identify and prioritize growth initiatives. The Growth Initiatives Lead is the catcher and champion for marketing ideas and innovation from anywhere in the organization
  • Implement frameworks for prioritizing growth-specific marketing initiatives, and organize the testing rhythm.
  • Align all market-facing functions to a shared growth objective without direct authority, and build collaborative cross-functional teams who shape digital and disruptive ideas
  • Partner with Insights & Analytics to ground initiatives in consumer insights
  • Develop hypotheses about how we might unlock value, design and run agile experiments to validate propositions, and articulate ideas in compelling and creative proposals to be pitched to business stakeholders
  • Integrate growth initiatives into Spin’s analytics framework and work with the Analytics team to provide dashboards and testing tools to visualize results

 What we can expect from you:

  • Strong analytical rigor and understanding of how to set up hypotheses and tests
  • Experience with data analysis and the best tools for retrieving, manipulating, and visualizing data including tools like MySQL, Excel, R, and Tableau.
  • Familiar with various digital marketing platforms including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok
  • Excellent communication skills including presentation, conceptual writing and collaborating with immediate team.
  • Experience working in kids/toy and understanding of the regulatory environment around it a plus
  • Entrepreneurial approach and desire to build new models and practices. Comfort with ambiguity

 

You should apply if you have the following:

  • 5-7+ years of experience at start-up(s), consulting firm and/or marketing/experience led company
  • Cross-athlete: A strong mix of business, analytics, design thinking, customer experience and digital skills and experience. Not anchored in a single skillset or offering, but instead anchored on a deep understanding of how to operationalize innovation
  • Proven track-record in future visioning and developing and delivering concepts, strategic initiatives and new business models tied to innovation
  • Entrepreneurially minded – the ability to balance the process and operating model of Accenture and our clients, with an unquenchable desire to re-invent. Comfortable in agile teams.
  • Client C-Suite or executive level exposure and relationships
  • Proven successful origination, deal shaping and excellence in delivery of large, complex digital transformation engagements from the ground up, for the C-suite
