The Role:

The Sales & Distribution Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the overall implementation and workflow of the sales pipeline and asset delivery to SME’s broadcast and digital platform clients.  In so doing, the Sales Coordinator supports SME’s Sr. Director of Sales & Distribution by: (i) managing and maintaining SME’s client database including buyers, dubbing studios, and media services companies; (ii) supporting SME’s distribution of files including any troubleshooting and tracking to completion (iii) coordinating internal asset delivery to SME’s Digital Content Team. (iv) Coordinating language versioning and delivery.


The Sales & Distribution Coordinator also works closely with SME’s Digital Asset Manager and assists with maintaining SME’s digital asset tracking spreadsheets, conducts digital asset audits as needed to ensure that all of SME’s intellectual property is on hand, functional, accessible as needed, and up-to-date.


The Sales & Distribution Coordinator works collaboratively with all persons (internal and external) involved in the creation, production and delivery of SME’s assets from the early stages through completion of each project and assists in assuring timely delivery to key partners.


What we can expect from you:

The Sales & Distribution Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Sales and Distribution department by:

  • Working closely with Digital Assets Manager to coordinate the following:
    • Delivery of broadcast elements to broadcast clients in conjunction with post-production houses
    • Manage BOX folder system ensuring assets are updated on timely basis
    • Manage Sales Resources BOX folder ensuring presentations and pitch materials are current and available for each programme in Spin Master’s catalogue
  • Building upon and maintaining existing CRM database to highlight Broadcasters, contact information, and meeting/ sales history with each of SME’s clients.
  • Research territory-by-territory statistics on broadcaster reach, market penetration, and competitive landscape to add to CRM database.
  • Maintain and edit as necessary Key Broadcaster list to track and understand best partners in each territory to help drive toy awareness and revenue.
  • Building upon and maintaining rights management database of current and past Spin Master programmes.
  • Oversee and coordinate implementation and operation of ContractWorks for files relating to the Sales/Distribution department
  • Work with production coordinators to ensure proper communication flow and awareness between GBUs, production delivery, digital content/marketing, and international Brand teams.
  • Research and communicate key trends relating to the acquisition of content from traditional broadcasters and emerging platforms. Reviewing all trade publication including, but not limited to, Kidscreen, Content Asia, TV Kids Weekly, Playback, etc., so as to stay current with developments relevant to our sector that enable the prospecting of new potential clients. 
  • Manage calendar, meetings, and expenses for the Sr. Director, Sales and Distribution on an as needed basis

Job Requirements

Who’s a good fit for this team:

  • Strong administrative, organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Previous experience in animated children’s television series productions and/or distribution, with strong working knowledge of animation production techniques and terminology.
  • Strong computer skills preferably with database systems including SalesForce and MyMediaBox, and with a level of proficiency in Word, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Must be detail oriented, thorough, and able to prioritize and multi-task in high volume, deadline driven environment while managing different projects at any given time.
  • Must have initiative, flexibility, adaptability, common sense, resourcefulness and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
