Job Description:

The Process Engineer – Extrusion will oversee production in the noodle department; ensuring all schedules are met and a quality extruded noodle product is produced on a continual basis with minimal scrape.  The Process Engineer is responsible for the direct supervision of the Extrusion Associates. 

  • Establish and meet Standard Operating Procedures on a daily basis
  • Work on continual product improvement by making recommendations to improve efficiencies of the line
  • Support inline improvements and enhancements through engineering drawings demonstrating solutions to our needs and further, how these solutions will work
  • Converting [Printing on Foam] new equipment recommendations to enhance efficiencies of the line and the department
  • Supervise noodle line employees including instruction, discipline and employee performance
  • Establish and maintain an effective maintenance schedule for all equipment
  • Sample new resins [melt & density]
  • Work continuously to improve coloration of product 
  • Work on new product development opportunities as needed
  • Other duties as assigned




Who's a good fit for this role:

  • Associates degree or minimum 5-6 years equivalent combination of training, education and experience
  • 5+ years of extrusion experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of previous experience in supervision
  • Experience in manufacturing software preferred
  • Proven experience using MS Office products
