Job Description:

The Online National Account Manager embodies Spin Master’s values of Entrepreneurial Spirit and Driving Results. This role is focused on being opportunistic to deliver short-term volume and profit goals while being strategic to build a long-term, sustainable business plans with our Online Marketplace customers. This person must maintain high-level customer contacts and relationships including a strong understanding of Amazon and E-Commerce. The person must bring and implement ideas and initiatives for growth relevant to the evolving E-Commerce landscape. This position also has the responsibility to communicate and partner with cross-functional teams to launch and ship product, build promotional and marketing plans specific to Online Marketplaces. The Online Marketplace NAM is a member of a broader Online sales team and collaborates daily to optimize sales and profitability.

In this role, you have the opportunity to build an Online Marketplace business plan with a grouping of customers that complements National Strategic Retailers direct online plans. The key focus will be delivering incremental sales through strategic exclusive programs, buy box back-up and an expanded product line. The role entails strategic planning, portfolio management, analytics, trade budget management and building relationships. Amazon Vendor and Seller Central experience is preferred.

What we can expect from you:

  • Maintain steady communication with accounts to ensure sales plans and product assortments coincide and compliment National Strategic Accounts online direct plans. Assess, develop, nurture, and manage online business partners to ensure that assortments are aligned with Spin and Brand online strategy.
  • Monitor retail sales weekly, future plans, and competitive pressures to maximize sales and profits. Deliver net sales revenue and customer profit targets quarterly and annually.
  • Collaborate with online marketplace customers and the Online Sales team to build a complimentary assortment plan. Deliver and communicate item distribution recommendations (marketplace versus direct).
  • Work with online marketplace customers to drive discoverability, optimize merchandising, advertising and promotional plans to deliver sell-through and replenishment.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports analyzing marketplace trends, retail sales, individual account trends and competitive activity.
  • Lead weekly business calls with online marketplace customers
  • Manages Trade Budget funding to meet or exceed sales forecast achievement, while staying within budget and policy guidelines. Analyze all promotions to maximize return on investment.

Who’s a good fit for this team:

  • A high in-depth knowledge of consumer products industry and an understanding on executing customer sales, order management, logistics and retail sales coverage.
  • Ideally, this same high in-depth knowledge and experience of internal functions (i.e., Sales Resources, Business Planning, Marketing and Customer Service).
  • Strong analytics capability including a high level of excel.
  • Ability to synthesize large quantities of data to relevant, actionable, insights, and recommendations.
  • This position requires a winning positive attitude from a competent and competitive individual who can work and lead teams of people.
  • The position requires you to work in Toronto with some work travel in a fast-changing, high-pace, fun work environment.

You should apply if you have the following:

  • 4-5 years’ selling experience of increasing levels of sales and supervisory responsibility in the consumer products industry, plus a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study.
  • 2-3 years’ experience working directly with, at Amazon/Online Marketplaces, or as a seller on Amazon/Online Marketplace; strong understanding of performance data relevant to Amazon/Online Marketplaces sell-through and marketing.
