The Role:

Reporting to the VP Sales and Marketing, the Marketing Manager holds accountability for delivering the region’s (Canada) strategic marketing and brand plans.  This role has primary responsibility for the planning, direction and control of fully integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives to meet and exceed the business unit revenue, margin and EBIT objectives. 

As Marketing Manager your remit will include closely partnering with Spin Master’s Global Marketing team/s to meet both Global Brand direction (as set by the GBU) as well as delivering to local company objectives.

You will be a creative, data-centric, digitally savvy Marketing Manager with proven ability to strategically evaluate business opportunities and develop marketing plans based on a strong understanding of our customer agenda and a deep understanding of consumer levers for all Spin Master Brands. 

What we can expect from you:

  • Develop, plan and manage the Marketing strategy
  • Plan and execute advertising and promotions
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to better align promotional activity, events and digital buys
  • Develop and manage Integrated Marketing initiatives
  • Brand and product management
  • Manage global business relationships

Who’s a good fit for this team:

  • Someone with leadership experience in Consumer Marketing
  • Proven experience in leveraging traditional and digital communication platforms
  • Commercial thought leader and demonstrated success of delivering business results
  • An individual with strong collaboration skills and proven ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Exceptional at building and maintaining relationships, internally and externally
  • Outstanding influencing, planning, presentation and communication skills
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience with P&L responsibility, budget, planning and management.
  • Strong literacy in MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP, Salesforce an asset
  • Goal oriented to achieve targets through self-motivation, persistence & determination


Job Requirements


You should apply if you have the following:

  • Minimum 7 years experience preferably in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry, with minimum 5 years experience in similar role
  • Business/Commerce Degree Qualifications, with major in Marketing or related area
  • Preference for post-graduate qualifications, MBA with marketing management.
  • Toy Industry experience preferred and highly regarded.
  • Customer marketing experience also highly regarded
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally for account meetings and to US. Travel includes local, Los Angeles and New York
