The Job:

The Director of Marketing will lead the development, implementation, and management of strategic and tactical marketing programs, focusing on global brand strategy and content across the assigned business segment in order to achieve financial growth and profit targets.

 

What we can expect from you:

  • Lead global brand and marketing strategy for the Games portfolio
  • P&L responsibility for Games and ensure all KPIs are met
  • Drive innovated marketing strategy to drive growth of new and existing titles
  • Identify white space in the category to develop a pipeline of future revenue growth
  • Manage Brand management team
  • Responsible for maintaining overall marketing budget
  • Lead marketing strategy across the entire portfolio which vary in marketing approach and execution, as well as target audience
  • Build key brands into evergreen franchises through strategic product launches and marketing plans
  • Partner with North American Sales and international markets to expand category presence globally
  • Collaborate with internal Centers of Excellence Marketing teams to align on key marketing strategies for key drivers and evergreen titles; tactics to include but not limited to TVCs, digital, social, and retail promotions etc,
  • Ensure tracking of all marketing activations to deliver to KPI expectations
  • Pitch new products internally to executives, marketing, sales partners and externally to retailers and licensors
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to Brand marketing team
  • Partner with Head of Games Design to develop new games and align on product strategies
  • Be forward looking to develop key Games strategies for future growth through both product and marketing innovation
  • Work on marketing campaigns that range from TV to grass roots marketing.

Job Requirements

  • Proven ability to do whatever it takes to get the job done while continuously taking initiative and pushing projects forward under tight deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances

  • Leadership experience and has managed a team of Brand Managers
  • Proven success leading a Brand through sales growth and/or innovation
  • Passionate about board games a plus

You should apply if you have the following:

  • At least 8 years of consumer products brand management experience, preferably working on games or toys on a global scale
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing
  • MBA a plus
  • Strong knowledge of a wide range of marketing tactics from TV, Digital, Experiential, Social, to retail/consumer promotions targeting a broad audience
  • Proven history of brand building, launching line/brand extensions 
  • Experience managing multiple projects at once in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office such as Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous P&L responsibility and managing marketing budgets
  • Understanding of media plans and how to effectively reach target audience
  • Ability to create and effectively deliver pitches and presentations to internal and external partners at all levels
  • Has led a successful product launch with an effective marketing campaign
