The Job:

This position will report to the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis, in Toronto. The role will be responsible for producing high quality financial plans (Budgets/Forecasts), financial insights & analyses.

  • Partner with the Outdoor Business Unit (GBU) to provide clear visibility to operational performance and all future planning.
  • Partner with the Outdoor (Swimways) team on the maintenance, update & management of the TLP (Toy Line Plan)
  • Maintain the TLP for their business (in SAP BPC in late 2019)
  • Consolidate the Annual Budget, and quarterly Forecasts.
  • Provide insights & analytics for the Budget and quarterly Forecasts.
  • Partner with IT and/or FP&A team in the implementation and continuous enhancements of financial systems as required by the organization.
  • Conduct analysis to prepare forecasts for reporting to executives; Conduct scenario analyses as required.
  • Support the monthly preparation of financial results (scorecards) for Swimways. Provide forecast updates including variance analysis with commentary and explanation for significant variances.
  • Monitor all TLP/Pricing models for quality and accuracy.
  • Provide all required financials for the weekly VCA & CEA process.

Job Requirements

What we can expect from you:

  • Demonstrated judgment, influence, leadership, strategic thinking
  • Advanced Excel skills (including Pivot tables and V-lookups).
  • A High degree of flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands of business partners

You should apply if you have the following:

  • University degree coupled with a professional accounting designation or MBA
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of post-qualification related experience in a decision support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting, Reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with SAP and SAP BPC an asset.
  • Advanced user of Excel, including financial modeling, data manipulation
  • Ability to distill large amounts of data into meaningful insights; understand the audience and provide the right level of detail and analytics.
