Job Overview:

 

Spin Master’s Engineering Management Development Program is a key component of our world-class operational strategy. As part of this 18-month program, you will participate in three, six-month assignments in the fields of Engineering and Supply Chain/Sourcing. You will have an opportunity to work with a broad range of our products in a variety of environments. Rotation categories as well as possible roles and responsibilities include:

 

Engineering- New Product Development, Design for Manufacturing, Project Management, Operational Excellence (OPEX, Lean techniques), Quality Engineering, Engineering Productivity

 

Supply Chain- Logistics, Demand Planning, Transportation, Supply Planning, Distribution, Inventory Management, Global Requirements, Forecasting

 

Sourcing- Direct Sourcing, Supplier Engineering, Negotiation, Supplier Selection, Supplier Productivity

 

This program is designed to give candidates the tools needed to accelerate career growth and become a valued member of the Spin Master community. Through broad exposure to many areas of the business, you will acquire unique skills and develop an expansive network across the company. You will receive additional career development support through structured training weeks during each rotation and a dedicated mentorship program. This program is a full-time salaried position with projected start date of July 2018.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

 

Completed bachelors or Master’s degree from a 4-year program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field with projected graduation date in 2017.

  • EMDP participants will complete their three rotations in our Toronto location but must be willing to travel internationally for trainings and meetings.
  • Seeking to learn and practice business in the toy industry or consumer products, through a fast-paced, high energy, dynamic position.
  • 0 – 2 years of full time or part time work or internship or co-op experience highly preferred
  • Qualified candidates must have a proven record of commitment, ambition and drive toward establishing and achieving goals.
  • Candidates must also be able to work as part of a team and have demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential to this position.
