Job Description:

1.0 General:

The Junior Brand Manager is part of the French Marketing team and it will be responsible for executing the local strategies together with the Senior Brand Manager (whom he/she will report to), including marketing activities, product line selection and trade marketing execution.

2.0 Specific Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy/Implementation

  • Co-develop and implement the Spin Master brand strategies across France including all aspects of the marketing mix/tools.
  • Help the Senior Brand Managers in executing marketing plans
  • Work with the Senior Brand Manager on the annual forecasts for each SKU, based on a deep analysis of the market and product potential.
  • Monitor sell in and sell out data and provide timely insights to the local team.
  • Localize international marketing assets and develop new ones based on the needs.
  • Work closely with the International brand teams to share information and brand updates.
  • Keep brand websites always updated
  • Participate in sales presentations for large retailers and provide sales tools supporting successful sell in of one or more brands.
  • Assist in management of trade shows.

Marketing services / PR

  • Provide information on products and brands to the PR agency.
  • Coordinate with the respective marketing services agency the development/execution of the required material they will develop/produce (POS material, adaptations etc.)
  • Take part to PR and BtoC events.

Market/consumer knowledge

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the Spin Master brands and be able to benchmark this with the market situation in France
  • Deliver some market analysis

Administrative tasks

  • Handle some administrative tasks for the Marketing department (invoice follow up, PR/PO …)

3.0 Reporting Lines

      3.1 The Junior Brand Manager reports to the Senior Brand Manager.

      3.2 List direct reports to this position: N/A.

4.0 Required Skill Set:

  • Creative mind set in combination with a hands-on attitude
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work without missing critical deadlines
  • Ability to both adapt to and manage changing priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office, coupled with excellent organizational communication skills, and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to do whatever it takes to get the job done while taking initiative and pushing projects forward under tight deadlines
  • Fluent in English in written and spoken
  • Passionate about creative excellence and willing to drive self and others to achieve “magic.”

5.0 Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master level preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of consumer product brand management experience in a new product-oriented industry, preferably working with toy or entertainment
  • Working knowledge of a variety of marketing tactics from media, in-store and consumer promotions.
  • Experience working with international brands and retail distribution channels
  • Experience managing multiple projects at once in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong knowledge of PCs and software including: MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop.
  • Fluent in English
