The Job:

The IT Financial Analyst is accountable for Spin Master’s technology sustaining financial activities including but not limit to: bottom up budget planning and reforecasting, variance analysis, cost allocations, IT vendor relations and invoice processing, operational financial reporting, and financial advice to IT stakeholders.

  • Annual bottom up budget planning
  • Quarterly/monthly reforecasting
  • Monthly variance analysis
  • Monthly submission of accruals
  • Document collection/creation for new vendor setup
  • Vendor agreements analysis, in collaboration with Procurement, Legal and Finance teams, and IT stakeholders/approvers
  • Purchase requisition creation in SAP
  • Management of purchasing workflow in collaboration with approvers, Procurement team and Finance team
  • Vendor invoices review, coding, and approval recommendations
  • Goods receipt in SAP
  • Primary contact with external IT vendors and internal AP & Accounting team for billing and payment issues
  • Recurring and adhoc financial analysis, reporting and advice for IT stakeholders, Finance, Procurement, etc

  • Financial and legal generalist, with knowledge of acquisition and payment models and agreements (capital purchase, pre-paid amortization, subscription, finance lease, FMV lease, renewal commitments, payment and other terms and conditions, non-disclosure, etc)

Job Requirements

Who’s a good fit for this team:

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Financial Analyst supporting technology
  • Intermediate to Advanced Accounting and Finance knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance, or equivalent experience
  • CGA or CMA designation would be an asset
  • Proficient in day to day office software - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Proficient in ERP document processing and reporting, preferably SAP & SAP BI
