The focus of the internship program is to introduce you to Spin Master’s Marketing Division, expose you to Spin Master’s world class brands and give you the opportunity to understand day-to-day business management. You will learn the basic strategy behind how a toy is created (concept), developed, launched and promoted.

You will also engage in a well-rounded combination of daily tasks critical to the business unit, work on projects that are aligned with key initiatives, including consumer research and category/competitive analysis, and immerse yourself in Spin Master’s entrepreneurial culture. The Marketing Intern will be a key contributor to the Los Angeles brand team.



  • Support all marketing activities including (but not limited to) licensing, promotions, advertising, media production, packaging, branding, public relations, trade shows, market research for a select group of brands, pricing, costing, profitability analysis, and SKU rationalization.

  • Assist with product development for all portfolio brands. This includes preparing new product start documents, product costing, packaging and product briefs.

  • Participation in weekly cross-functional brand team and packaging meetings

  • Run industry research reports including competitive analysis and trend identification

  • Partner with Social and Digital media teams to manage and create content for each brand and platform

  • Marketplace and financial analysis to project impact on brands and/or recommend new opportunities


Job Requirements

Skills & Experience Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergrad with a concentration in Marketing

  • Experience in consumer packaged goods (Marketing preferred) is an asset

  • Experience or background in art/design an asset

  • Ability to manage multiple mid-sized projects

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast paced environment

  • Relationship management with internal support teams, external agencies, and licensing partners or inventors

  • Leadership ability and strong communication skills

  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinking

  • Team spirited and enthusiastic
