Job Description:

The Job:

Reporting to the Global Supply Planning Manager, the successful candidate should have experience in operations, inventory planning, demand forecasting, and/or product life cycles. He/she must be able to manage a large portfolio of products, be solution-oriented & able to build/improve efficient processes. This person will be highly analytical, flexible, action and results oriented, self-starting, and be comfortable with computer databases and tools. Ideal candidates will have hands-on, operations or inventory management experience and knowledge in business operations.  APICS background a plus.

What we can expect from you:

  • Analyze current inventory position to minimize domestic inventory levels. 
    • Work with Logistics to ensure 100% inventory accuracy at all 3PL warehouse locations.
    • Ensure that damaged, scrap & donations are transacted accordingly in SAP.
    • Report on safety stock levels in order to reduce.
  • Monitor Business unit inventory in SAP virtual bin locations, and push to reduce inventory.
    • Provide business units with monthly aging report on Virtual bin inventory.
    • Prepare monthly inventory transfers for Business units.
  • Proactively balance inventory between warehouses to meet retailer requirements
    • Prepare & follow up on all stock transfers between warehouses.
  • Work as liaison with Logistics team to ensure planning concerns are addressed.
  • Prepare the Global inventory projection report, in order to provide outlook to Logistics & Finance.  Track accuracy and refine as necessary.
  • Prepare the Global Excess & Obsolete inventory report for finished goods. 
    • Work closely with International and Domestic Sales Teams to reduce/eliminate excess. 
    • Chair E&O meetings.  Track progress. 
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholder in order to ensure actions are complete.
    • Provide details to finance who will post inventory provision.
  • Monitor Global Raw Material inventory at suppliers. Work closely with manufacturing partners as well as Asia Planning team to reduce liabilities for excess raw material inventory.
  • Prepare Monthly Executive reporting package, including Days of Supply & Excess & Obsolete inventory.
  • Own the SAP master data for Supply Planning, including lead times, MOQs, and safety stock.  Ensure that the material status reflects the products stage in the product life cycle.
  • Maintain all inventory policies.  Provide training to new hires.
  • Build strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders in an effort to, bring forth continuous improvements and improved KPIs.
  • Lead global planning projects.  Define system requirements for IT team.
  • Ensure all Internal & External audit requests are satisfied.

As a member of the Global Supply Planning team, you will support the planning function by:

  • Monitor and help resolve customer service related issues for assigned products in support of customers, brand manager & Sales parties.
  • Resolve shortage situations by proactively managing and monitoring inventory levels for assigned materials and material types.
  • Develop and manage inventory plan for assigned products.
  • Prepare Supply Agreement Meeting (SAM) analysis in support of the Sales and Operations Planning Process.
  • Communicate Supply Status including Production Forecasts to key stakeholders and external Vendors.

You should apply if you have the following:

•       5+ years in an inventory / Planning role

  •        Expertise in Planning & MRP.  SAP experience would be preferred.
  •        Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory activities.
  •        Strong technical skills using Excel / Access databases required.
  •        Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize
  • Experience in CPG sector would be a plus
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory activities
  • University Degree and/or College Diploma
  • Sense of humor, light hearted and great attitude.

  • Open to travel 10-20 % of the time
