Job Description

General:

As the e-Commerce Specialist, you will support Spin Master’s online growth strategy. Your focus is to deliver best in class eCom experiences across sites, partnering with sales, Amazon, Argos, COE’s (Marketing Center of Excellence teams) and brand teams to ensure timely publishing of all items and accountability for complete and accurate product information. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are relentless at testing and learning to drive page/search rankings and ultimately sales.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage product placement and merchandising content including setting up product detail pages, requesting/creating assets, updating product pages, reviewing and ensuring that all product pages are complete, accurate and merchandised to maximize purchasing.
  • Support Amazon and Argos search programs by keyword harvesting and search engine optimization of assigned product pages.
  • Coordinate sample requests for Vine programs, and create shopper sentiment reports for key stakeholders identifying paid vs organic reviews
  • Work with eCommerce Content Manager, brand teams and COE’s to build and optimize Amazon Branded Stores and A+ Pages
  • Coordinate and maintain Amazon’s and Argos’ promotional calendar of events to line up to key National tent pole programs
  • Managing marketing spend within agreed budgets and track and measure ROI.
  • Provide support to develop, standardize, and execute the best in class e-commerce executions in collaboration with colleagues from sales, marketing and COE teams.
  • Audit Amazon and Argos for sales rank and competitive forces
  • Work with the eCommerce team and account managers to identify opportunities and develop digital activation
  • Measure customer KPIs on an ongoing basis, establishing a short insight-to-action process to quickly adapt and optimize activities
  • Develop effective commercial relationships with key customer contacts

Job Requirements

Required Skill Set:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Amazon eCommerce Eco system, with a proven record of hands on experience working within Vendor Central
  • Hands on experience in managing and executing Amazon Search
  • Strong working knowledge of the Argos digital marketing program
  • Strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight time constraints and across multiple cross functional teams/departments.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (ie Excel and PowerPoint) applications and web analytics (ie. Omniture, Google Analytics), SAP
  • Expertise in transforming a strategy and vision into actionable plans
  • Technical understanding of internet technologies
  • Strong attention to detail, organized
  • Strong communication, Presentation and Collaborative skills
  • Strong data analytics, reporting, business modeling & forecasting skills
  • Ability to interpret data and draw conclusions
  • Ability to adapt to changing systems, forms, and standards
  • Open to working in an ambiguous environment.

 Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related eCommerce field required; MBA an asset
  • Minimum 3+ years prior experience in eCommerce merchandising at mass retailers or DTC, preferably with a toy, retail or consumer products company
  • Success with implementing and maintaining Digital/eCommerce systems
  • Knowledge of on-line Trade Marketing, and/or Merchandising
  • SAP, Salsify, Amazon Vendor Central Experience
