The Job:

In this role, the candidate will also be responsible  for Spin Master LA brands overseeing all LA Brands driving brand strategies globally, making sure we have long term plan to help growth the local markets and lead new opportunities and initiatives beyond what GBU has to offer.  The candidate will be responsible to make sure all day to day challenges are solved in a timely manner and make sure that all markets outside US and CAN have what they need to be successful.

  • Lead discussions to align Spin International Marketing plans with the studio’s International marketing plans to meet local needs.  Marketing plans include, Media, entertainment, Digital, social and shopper marketing.  Responsible to track the plans as the year progresses and through to execution, sharing changes/results with the studios on a monthly basis.
  •  Partner with internal Finance team & GBU to lead the forecasting process for international on all Global studio properties, ensuring the markets are aligned
  • “Represent” international Point of View with the  Global Studio partners on all product development, line plans, asset creation and content development to ensure all areas are optimized for international markets and/or request dedicated product/assets as needed
  • Work with SM licensing team and GBU in all license’s projects representing the INTL voices and content needed to move the deal a forward.
  • With the team to identify desirable new business opportunities and market expansion potential by conducting sales and marketing competitive analysis of current and potential business. Analysis to include licensing opportunities, channels of distribution and sales targets, pricing for each class of trade, industry standard margin requirements, market definition, promotional spending requirements and consumer benefits/needs.
  • With the team create and manage all of the marketing plan for the assigned brands, including brand and product marketing strategy, product positioning, packaging strategy, creative strategy briefs, in-store displays, Web/internet, and promotions when needed.
  • Manage and work with brand team and cross functional teams on INTL product development - from concept feasibility and selection, consumer research, production, and  marketplace success.

Job Requirements

What we can expect from you:

  • Strong experience working with Global studios and top licenses
  • Marketing communication experience with focus in developing 360 marketing plans  from strategy to activation including all aspects of the marketing plans for US and INTL markets
  • International experience working with various markets around the world
  • Brand build and solid understanding of product development and the related functions for diverse product lines

  • 10+ years of consumer product brand management experience in a new product-oriented industry, preferably in children’s toys
  • University degree in Marketing or related field, MBA a plus
