Job Description:

The Role:

This position will be responsible for producing relevant and timely high quality financial analysis, the annual Budget and quarterly Forecasts & 5 Year Model Projections. The Director is a key financial business partner supporting Toca Boca and Sago Mini’s senior management. This position is a member of Spin Master’s Finance team and will report to the Spin Master VP, Financial Planning and Analysis.

  • Partner with senior Toca Boca/ Sago Mini management to provide clear visibility to operational performance and all future financial planning. Close involvement in strategy setting and decision support.
  • Financial Lead for Toca/Sago Mini on the annual Budget process and quarterly forecasts.
  • Work with the financial reporting team to analyze and provide insights into financial performance relative to budget and forecast.
  • Build and own the 5-year model.
  • Lead the justification of all inputs to the model for annual goodwill impairment testing. Provide support as needed to Financial Reporting team in all audit queries relating to the model.
  • Build analytical tools and reporting to measure business results, key success metrics and efficiency, leveraging existing infrastructure as appropriate and creating new capabilities as required.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations in the development of new initiatives, customer strategies, and effective promotional investments.
  • Partner with IT in the implementation and continuous enhancements of financial systems as required by the organization.
  • Work with Partnerships team on deal structures to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Set up proper revenue and cost tracking for new and existing initiatives and assist in the formation of team structures.
  • Provide monthly summary of financial results (scorecards) to management, as well as forecast updates including variance analysis with commentary and explanations for significant variances.
  • Provide weekly cash forecasts to Treasury team.
  • Act as a go-to person on financial matters for all stakeholders across the organization.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot tables and V-lookups
  • Demonstrated judgment, influence, leadership, strategic thinking
  • A High degree of flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands of business partners

You should apply if you have the following:

  • Prior experience in a digital gaming or D2C environment is highly preferred.
  • University degree coupled with a professional accounting designation or MBA
  • Demonstrates business partnership building
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of post-qualification related experience in a decision support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting, Reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with SAP and SAP BPC an asset.
  • Advanced user of Excel, including financial modeling, data manipulation
  • Ability to distill large amounts of data into meaningful insights; understand the audience and provide the right level of detail and analytics.
