Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment Analyst – Mexico City*

The Role:

This is a role for someone who craves a global challenge balanced by the desire to be accountable for delivering against the model.  It is both a strategic and a tactical position. Experience working with Wal Mart is a must.

Primary responsibilities include item and category management that spans across the collective Supply Chain. This customer facing position is responsible for maximizing store in-stocks, event management, execution of new and discontinued items, reducing waste, reporting, and analytics. The CPFR will use information obtained from the customer while applying Supply Chain planning information as input into forecasting process. Proficient use of the customer’s data sharing tools combined with collaboration between the Customer, Sales and Demand Planners will be used to drive efficiencies with predictable product flow throughout the entire Supply Chain. The CPFR is the primary collaboration contact with the Customer’s Replenishment Department and is a key internal collaboration partner with Sales and Customer’s Replenishment. Key Performance Indicators for this position include, but are not limited to, Customer In-Stock percentage, Fill Rate, Forecast Accuracy, Bias and Event Performance. 

Customer Level Forecasting 
• Use processes to develop and maintain an internal shipment forecast.
• Leverage Customer data and collaboration to develop a more robust forecasting model for turn and promotional volume. 
• Manage Customer forecast exceptions to eliminate forecast error. 
• Understand, track and report KPI’s (Forecast Accuracy, Bias, CFR, etc.…) to stakeholders as necessary.

Event Management 
• Enter promotion information in Customer systems. 
• Update forecasts in systems to include correct items, location, and timing.
• Collaborate with Customer on replenishment settings and Event Strategy.
• Track Event Performance. 
• Follow-up with Customer on event performance and correction of errors. 
• Provide input for BU Event Tracker.

Maximize Store In-Stocks 
• Use Customer data to analyze stores and DC Inventories.
• Identify and manage seasonal and non-seasonal trends. 
• Manage gaps between Customer POS and retail forecast. 
• Manage product flow throughout and Customers’ Supply Chains.

Execution on New and Discontinued Items 
• Manage Store changes as communicated by Customer for Modular Updates (changes to Planograms).
• Develop exit strategy for store declines or complete item pruning, minimizing write-offs or markdowns. 
• Development of Replenishment Strategies and Demand Plans for new items and increased distribution (new store authorizations).
• Provide visibility to Product Supply and Fulfillment by maintaining forecast information accurately in BI.

Reporting/Metric Tracking 
• Track Customer Days of Supply, CFR, POS and In-Stocks and report to Customer and Internal partners as necessary. 
• Track Customer Forecast Accuracy/Bias and communicate to stakeholders. 
• Track Item/Category seasonal profiles and collaborate with customer.

Customer Collaboration and Influence 
• Build and maintain customer and internal stakeholder relationships that will ultimately drive supply chain efficiency and business influence.
• Lead Supply Chain collaboration process with customer and internal partners. 
• Weekly category meetings with Sales and BU partners.
• Monthly/Quarterly collaboration with Customer Replenishment and Supply Chain stakeholders. 

Reducing Waste 
• Eliminate “trapped” inventory within Customer’s Supply Chain.
• Manage Replenishment flags in Customer systems.
• Make necessary forecast adjustments to prevent code date rotation issues.
• Communicate over stock situations timely to prevent short-dated product.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years Customer Supply Chain related experience (CPFR, Demand Planning, Distribution, Sales).
