The Job:

The brand manager will be responsible for leading product development and marketing for a variety of different brands including originally developed, Spin Master owned IPs as well as partnering on some of the top licensed IPs in the industry. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role that will require a top tier marketer with a passion for developing great toys and entertainment.

 

What we can expect from you:

  • Support and help direct all marketing activities including (but not limited to): licensing, promotions, advertising, media production, packaging, branding, public relations, trade shows, market research for a select group of brands, pricing, costing, profitability analysis, and SKU rationalization
  • Assist in managing projects related to product development activities including (but not limited to): preparing new product start documents, product costing, turn over transmittals, packaging and product briefs
  • Work closely with external license partners to develop, approve and market products
  • Work with the Procurement to negotiate pricing, profitability and Vendor Cost Approval management and manage internal competitive pricing
  • Administer the critical path analysis process, ensuring all time lines are adhered to, all details are properly recorded, and that all parties are informed of relevant information where required
  • Continually monitor kids and interactive entertainment business trends, identify opportunities and risks and make recommendations to drive business objectives
  • Liaise with internal departments (Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Sales, Planning) as well as with outside partners (vendors, licensors, inventors) both nationally and internationally at all stages of product development to ensure the smooth running of all projects under your care

Job Requirements

You'd be a good fit for this team if you have:

  • Direct experience with the full product development cycle, with a track record of thriving in a growth oriented and changing environment
  • Direct experience dealing with overseas development and manufacturing facilities
  • Experience managing multiple projects at once in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office, coupled with excellent organizational communication skills, and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to do whatever it takes to get the job done while continuously taking initiate and pushing projects forward under tight deadlines
  • Passionate about creative excellence and willing to drive self and others to achieve “magic.”

You should apply if you have the following:

  • 3-5 years of consumer product brand management experience in a new product-oriented industry, preferably working with toy, entertainment, fashion, or other pop culture products
  • Working knowledge of a variety of marketing tactics from TV, print, digital and consumer promotions
  • University or College degree in Marketing, Commerce, or related field
