Job Description

  1. General:

    Brand Manager (BM) will be part of the BeNeLux Marketing Team working on marketing execution and promotional activities of Spin Master brand portfolio with focus on Boys License Brands.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and develop own brands to exceed annual corporate goals – e.g. revenue, margin, market share, consumer demand with focus across Netherlands and Belgium. 
    • Develop long term brand equity for your key brands through a hands-on approach to managing your brands’ forecasting, SKU management, retail activity and marketing activities.
    • Manage, support and work closely with existing licensors and licensing agents to achieve the license brands objectives and develop positive relationships with these business partners.
    • Regularly pitch and present to mass, specialty, department store and entertainment retail buyers with the aim to secure cross-category promotions
    • Interact with Key Retailers and Sales Team to increase sell-in for all licensed and non-licensed products and support to increase retail distribution through multiple channels, in both Brick & Mortar and E-Commerce.
    • Develop and manage consumer and retail marketing campaigns (ATL/BTL) within agreed budgets.
    • Support of the Sales Team with all relevant marketing tools to achieve all sales objectives.
    • Manage and control the product mix and pricing to achieve annual financial objectives.
    • Forecasting – closely work with Supply/Demand Planners and Sales Team to review and implement regular (minimum monthly) changes as part of Forecasting Reviews.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Fluent in Dutch and English – in writing and verbally.
  • Degree Educated with marketing/business qualifications (preferably). 
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant marketing experience – ideally in the Toy Industry or other kid-related industries (for example kids licensing, toy retail, marketing/licensing/entertainment business) – including brand management with understanding of brand values (experience with boys brands preferred including toy, interactive games, home entertainment and digital/E-Commerce)
  • Work experience with a Top 5 global licensor/licensing agency a plus
  • Knowledge of the Dutch and Belgium retailer landscape along with existing and established relationships preferred with key buyers and key decision makers
  • Advanced skills in working with MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present to senior level management
  • Proactive, self-motivated team player with good time management skills and ability to multitask while still paying attention to important details
  • Proven ability to do whatever it takes to get the job done while continuously taking initiative and pushing projects forward under tight deadlines
