The Job:

The ideal candidate will be a strong corporate/commercial lawyer. Knowledge of IP and Securities Law is also a plus. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast growing Canadian public company with offices located around the world. Responsibilities will include an incredibly wide variety of interesting matters, including commercial, corporate, regulatory compliance, litigation and risk management in the consumer goods, digital media, and entertainment industries.  Candidates will need to work with our global offices and network of foreign law firms in providing legal support for the international business. You will work both independently, and part of a team alongside great colleagues in a fast-paced environment.  The successful candidate must have a minimum of three years post call experience, be a motivated and disciplined self-starter, team player, have good written and verbal communicating skills, strong interpersonal skills, good judgement and a practical approach to providing solutions.

Job Requirements

You should apply if you have the following:

  • 2 or more years post-call experience at a law firm
  • Demonstrated superior skill in drafting agreements 
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work independently to proactively bring projects to completion
  • Superior time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
