The Job:

The Spin Master Digital Content team is looking for a Content Creator/ Editor to help create engaging content, primarily video, to promote our products and brands in the digital space. Working in collaboration with the Creative Director, Sr. Art Director and copywriters, the Content Creator/ Editor will be responsible for helping us to achieve continuous innovation on social and other digital channels. Emphasis is placed on creating new ways to promote content and engage with consumers and the community. Driving audience engagement across various digital platforms with effective, engaging content is key. Must be willing to lead the content creation team and bring a positive, think on your feet attitude. The role will require a lot of creativity involving conceptualization, shot listing, editing video, and motion graphic work, as well as some, audio, videography and photography. Knowledge of video production techniques and equipment is essential. Storytelling should come naturally to you.

 

What we can expect from you:

  • Must have a solid understanding of creating digital video content and be able to generate engaging video concepts.
  • Must have the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities while covering many brands.
  • Follow brand style guides and Integrated Marketing objectives to ensure content follows the campaign strategy and look.
  • Edit video in both scripted and non-scripted narrative and corporate contexts.
  • Ingest/organize footage for metatagging and assembly edits.
  • A good understanding of social media and current trends online.
  • Work well on a team. 
  • Assist on larger shoots as part of the crew as needed.
  • Be able to set up and record audio on a zoom and in a booth.
  • Must be able to manage project assets for international and national markets.
  • Oversee and manage freelancer editors to ensure quality meets company standards.
  • Work closely with the Digital archivist to ensure delivery of all final assets to meet deadlines.
  • Be familiar with all technical server requirements for project management/upload and download.
  • Work as a liaison between Producers and Content Creators for project distribution.

Job Requirements

Who’s a good fit for this team:

  • Excellent understanding of software for video production, primarily Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Excellent editing skills and strong motion graphics skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Ingesting and metatagging footage.
  • Strong knowledge of technical specifications for multiple digital media platforms, and broadcast.
  • Strong organizational skills with an understanding of the production to editing pipeline.
  • A strong problem solver and technical troubleshooter.
  • Proficient knowledge of video production equipment (video cameras, lighting, audio, etc.)
  • Able to meet deadlines and work within given timeframes and budgets.
  • Strong problem solving skills, responsive to flexible and evolving responsibilities, and changing environment.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You should apply if you have the following:

  • 3+ years experience as a video editor or content creator.
  • Demonstrated experience with completing quick turnaround projects and understanding immediate needs and timelines.
  • Good technical knowledge of video production equipment.
  • Some experience with project management and review/approval systems is desired.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (specifically, Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop).
  • Experience with additional production software such as Da Vinci Resolve, Pro Tools, Dragonframe, Cinema 4D, etc. are a plus but not required.
