The Job:

We are seeking a Process Development Manager to lead a team of process engineers and product data analysts who will provide expertise in both process improvement and data creation management. Reporting to the Director of Product Development, the Process Development Manager will work with product development, marketing teams, and various operations partners to optimize business process and data creation/flow within the organization.

What we can expect from you:

Process Engineering:

  • Lead the Spin Master process engineering team.
  • Improve workflow and efficiency by identifying process opportunities in all areas of product development.
  • Document new/revised processes, generate training materials, provide training and guidance during implementation and roll-out phases.
  • Integrate new hires and new offices/acquisitions into the Spin Master product development processes and systems.
  • Research best in-class practices within similar industries and apply learnings for continual process improvement.
  • Work with internal/external parties to develop new tools for the organization.
  • Create, maintain, and run reports and metrics to track company KPIs.
  • Design and conduct performance testing on new tools and systems.
  • Lead schedule/budget/scope management with external vendors on system support.
  • Work with the team to drive Value Analysis/Value Engineering efforts to drive cost savings within the organization.

Product Data:

  • Lead the Spin Master product data analyst team.
  • Monitor daily tasks of the team and provide clear direction on workload to align with corporate priorities.
  • Establish new item setup standards to meet the evolving business needs. Consolidate & recommend best practices for all affected departments.
  • Provide training to new cross-functional team members regarding SAP, item setup rules, data governance, and Planisware. Provide continued guidance on item numbering rules and regulations.
  • Support on-boarding of new data analyst team members to establish baseline understanding and provide continued support and training as necessary.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives related to master data and item setup to streamline workloads.
  • Lead initiatives to resolve unique item scenarios with data governance teams.
  • Drive corporate wide or cross-functional initiatives for new process roll-out/process updates.
  • Support team in data audit reviews on various master files such as Proposed Drop Report, Pricelist, and Vendor Line Plans.

  • Outline career path and growth plan for direct reports.

 

You should apply if you have the following:

  • 1-3 years of managing process teams/data analyst teams.
  • 3-7 years Product/Project Engineering service/experience.
  • Experience with SAP ERP.
  • Experience with Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM).
  • Knowledge in programming languages (VBA, JavaScript, C, OData, etc.) an asset.
  • Knowledge in project management or PMI certification.
  • Experience in organizational change management initiatives.
  • BSc. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Process, Project or Systems Engineering.
  • Toy or consumer packaged goods experience, preferably within data management & governance is preferred.
