The Job:

The Spin Master Marketing Coordinator will be a key contributor to Spin Master Mexico and the global Marketing Team. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for managing a portfolio of brands ensuring their success in Mexico.   In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing and analyzing for core brands within Spin Master portfolio. You will support brand planning and communication, media, brand cycle plan, in-store activation development, come up with trade promotional activities, and new product launches. You will liaise with various departments on strategies to ensure success of designated brands and achieve business objectives.

  • Support and help direct all marketing activities including (but not limited to) market research, licensing, promotions, advertising, media production, packaging, branding, public relations, trade shows, market research for a select group of brands, pricing, costing, profitability analysis, and SKU rationalization.
  • Permanent market analysis (POS data, Nielsen, internal reports..) to support action plans.
  • Elaborate the annual marketing plans for their brands assigned and budget control.
  • Assist in administering the critical path analysis process, ensuring all time lines are adhered to, all details are properly recorded, and that all parties are informed of relevant information where required.
  • Liaise with internal departments (Finance, Graphic Design, Sales, Planning, Trade Marketing) as well as with outside partners (vendors, licensors, third parties) both nationally and internationally to ensure the plans of your brands get executed correctly (arrival of the product, placement in POS and marketing plans).
  • Support and help to direct and effectively manage the relationship day to day of external partners on select brands.
  • If Brand or External Partner is in doubt, a “go to” person to solve problems
  • Participate in sales presentations for large retailers and provide sales tools supporting successful sell in of one or more brands.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent organization and project management skills, outstanding written and oral (both English and Spanish) communication skills, ability to manage multiple and changing priorities and adhere to deadlines.

  • 1-2 experience as an intern preferably in multinational company – toy industry experience a plus
  • Must have broad experience and understanding of all facets of the marketing discipline including market research, product positioning, pricing, promotions, budget control, sales and distribution.
  • Four-year degree in a related field required; MBA highly desirable.
  • Passion for pop culture and entertainment a must.
