The Job:

As Global Compensation Specialist, you will help analyze and design leading-edge global compensation and rewards programs in Canada, the US, Europe and Asia that attract, retain, and motivate employees. Support a wide range of Total Rewards and Compensation processes, with a focus on data management, trends reporting, analysis and compensation program coordination. Key areas of responsibility include coordination of annual incentive, long-term incentive, and base salary programs, executive compensation benchmarking and design, rewards administration, and support on international employee engagement initiatives.

What we can expect from you:

  • Plays an integral role in supporting the global compensation programs; annual merit increases, annual incentive plans, and long-term incentive plans.
  • Acts as a key contributor to the development of creative Global Pay Structures in each region.
  • Helps analyze and design incentive plan programs across the globe to align employee interests with stakeholder interests.
  • Collects, reviews, analyzes and reports (monthly and ad-hoc) on Human Resources data; provides commentary and gap analysis on trends.
  • Assists in coordinating the annual compensation review cycle by preparing spreadsheets, consolidating data, and preparing materials for Board reports.
  • Participates in and analyzes compensation market surveys, ensuring accuracy while meeting submission deadlines. Conducts ad hoc market reviews for local and international roles.
  • Assists with conducting job evaluations to ensure the compensation programs are internally equitable.
  • Uses HRIS and Compensation Administration systems (e.g., Workday) to run queries, research issues, and present findings that help guide human capital planning.
  • Administers the long-term incentive plan grants in Solium.
  • Assist in conducting compensation plan analysis and integration during M&As.

 


 

Employee Engagement Support

  • Supports employee engagement survey reporting and creates executive summary presentations based on analytical findings.

 

Rewards Support

  • Provides support in analyzing and administering any other global rewards projects and programs, such as perquisites, relocation/mobility, retirement plan and benefits.

Job Requirements

Who’s a good fit for this team:

  • Someone with experience in support of data analytics, preferably in compensation.
  • An individual with experience compiling complex data and creating accurate reports in excel.
  • Someone with experience with Workday and/or other HRIS systems is an asset.
