The Job:

We are currently seeking an Executive Assistant/Talent Communications Coordinator to be based in our Toronto Global Head Office. The ideal candidate has superb communication skills (both verbal and written), is extremely detail-oriented and is passionate about developing exciting initiatives for the talented and diverse population at Spin Master Globally. The candidate will work with the Talent team & key business and stakeholders throughout the organization to develop employee initiatives that drive innovation, growth & development, retention and engagement and draft all internal talent communications for distribution to Spin Master team members. The candidate will report into our SVP, Talent and perform a variety of Executive Assistant tasks in addition to other responsibilities noted below

 What we can expect from you:

Executive Administration 30%

  • Email and calendar management
  • Travel, expenses & purchase order processing
  • Meeting preparation and support
  • Project management for Talent Function

 Research and Analytics 25%

  • Internal HR data mining (talent focused, leveraging internal and external partners)
  • Research and insight gathering
  • Basic data input, analysis and reporting
  • Development of presentations, scorecards etc. as needed

 Communications 30%

  • Work closely with the Spin Master Corporate Talent team to implement, execute and improve current employee initiatives and programs, including employee engagement programs, Wellness & leadership Initiatives.
  • Work with various business partners to draft internal memos and updates relating to important Talent based updates with the goal of always improving the speed and quality of the information received by our employees.
  • Work in partnership with the Internal Communications team for dissemination and integration into overall corporate calendar and cadence.
  • Respond to employee questions relating to talent initiatives.
  • Activate external Talent acquisition social media initiatives, monitor current P2P platforms (glass door/ indeed etc) to gain an external pulse-check on the on our employer brand

 You should apply if you have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR & or Communications, English or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience; some human resources experience a plus but not required
  • Experience leading and executing the planning and promotion of employee initiatives
  • Exceptionally strong communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Very strong PowerPoint and design skills
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills
