The Job:

As the e-Commerce Merchandise Manager, you will support Spin Master’s online growth within Canada and the US (ie. Amazon, Walmart. Toys R Us, Target). Your focus is to deliver best in class ecom experiences across sites, partnering with sales, DTC, COE’s and brands team ensure timely publishing of all items and accountability for complete and accurate product information. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are relentless at testing and learning to drive page/search rankings and ultimately sales. Ultimately your goal will be to ensure each of your retailers provide a great experience for their shoppers, while supporting our brands objectives.

What we can expect from you:

  • Work with sales and brand teams to support seasonal and annual growth plans
  • Oversee E-Retailer’s promotional programs to maximize distribution, close revenue gaps to achieve annual sales goals
  • Provide support to develop, standardise, and execute the best in class e-commerce executions in collaboration with colleagues from sales, marketing and COE teams.
  • Work with both internal and external cross-functional teams to ensure all content is complete and ready to be received by the retailer prior to their stock being received and hitting key brand timelines
  • Submit and manage assets through Amazon Vendor Central, Target Pipeline, and Walmart Supplier Center/Retail Link
  • Audit eCom sites for integrity, completeness, and optimization
  • Work with the eCommerce team and other account managers to identify opportunities and develop digital activations
  • Measure customer KPIs on an ongoing basis, establishing a short insight-to-action process to quickly adapt and optimize activities
  • Optimize product listings using expertise of keyword research, digital marketing, SEM, online display advertising, and SEO from inception of goal to full execution
  • Provide post-mortem reporting for ecom POS sales
  • Engage with cross-functional subject matter experts to incorporate best practices into the digital shelf

Job Requirements

Who’s a good fit for this team:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Amazon and/or Walmart ecommerce eco system, with a proven record of hands on experience working within Vendor Central
  • Expert in managing and executing eCom marketing plans & campaigns working with Walmart Media Group and/or Amazon
  • Strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight time constraints and across multiple cross functional teams/departments.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (ie Excel and PowerPoint) applications and web analytics (ie. Omniture, Google Analytics), SAP
  • Expertise in transforming a strategy and vision into actionable plans
  • Technical understanding of internet technologies
  • Strong attention to detail, organized
  • Strong communication, Presentation and Collaborative skills
  • Strong data analytics, reporting, business modeling & forecasting skills
  • Ability to interpret data and draw conclusions
  • Ability to adapt to changing systems, forms, and standards
  • Open to working in an ambiguous environment.

You should apply if you have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related eCommerce field required; MBA an asset
  • Minimum 4+ years prior experience in eCommerce merchandising at mass retailers or DTC, preferably with a toy, retail or consumer products company
  • Success with implementing and maintaining Digital/eCommerce systems
  • Knowledge in Supply Chain, Trade Marketing, or Merchandising
  • SAP Experience
  • Understands basic supply chain management and logistics fulfillment business operations
