Job Description

General :

The Brand Manager is responsible for marketing strategies of existing brands and future brand launches with the goal to develop and grow a business which will generate a sustainable and profitable business for the long term. Brand Manager is responsible for developing and executing Marketing strategies including brand plans, product line selection, above and below line plans and trade marketing execution.

Specific Responsibilities :

Brand Strategy/Implementation

  • Co-develop and implement the Spin Master brand strategies across the Italy including all aspects of the marketing mix/tools.
  • Define the product line for the considering the competitive landscape and retail environment.
  • Grow our market shares in a sustainable way by launching new brands.
  • Support in maintaining the TLP (toy line projection) together with quota management
  • Drive effective brand plans to communicate the brand and to develop and execute sales driven consumer promotions
  • Optimize the on-line web-opportunities in an effective and creative way.
  • Strong alignment with the European brand teams, the support teams in Bratislava and the Global Business Units in US and Canada.

Budget Management

  • Manage and control the marketing budget for your respective brands regarding all above and below the line activities. 

Marketing services / PR

  • Align with the PR agency what the most appropriate PR activities are in order to support your brands.
  • Coordinate with the respective marketing services agency the development/execution of the required material they will develop/produce (POS material, adaptations etc.)
  • Have a detailed understanding of the kids media landscape and know how to interpret/ validate the recommendations from the agencies.

 Market/consumer knowledge

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the Spin Master brands and be able to benchmark this with the market situation in the Italy.
  • Ensure to keep the organization up to date with trends and changes in the competitive landscape.

Job Requirements

Required Skill Set:

  • Creative mind set in combination with a hands-on attitude
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work without missing critical deadlines
  • Ability to both adapt to and manage changing priorities independently in a fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office, coupled with excellent organizational communication skills, and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to do whatever it takes to get the job done while taking initiative and pushing projects forward under tight deadlines
  • A strong level of passion and willingness to be awesome
  • Fluent in English written and verbal
  • Passionate about creative excellence and willing to drive self and others to achieve “magic”
  • Domestic and International travel required at times

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • University or Bachelor Degree
  • 2 years branded consumer marketing experience, preferably in the kids/toys industry
  • Experience with the Italy toy trade
  • Experience in an international working environment so the person knows what it takes to deal with international marketing teams and a head quarter abroad.
