The Job:

An account executive, AE, is a middleman, but not a barrier between GBU’s, COE’s and is the glue that holds a marketing plan together.  This role holds the entire marketing plan to strategy in brief and thread-line of the big idea.  This role is responsible for the execution of the entire marketing plan. 

Account executives facilitate the exchange of information between the COE and the GBU from the time of the first brief until that marketing plan is live and the results are collated. GBU’s have demands, and the account executive takes care of them. Account executives must be on top of the timing of every project to meet crucial content posting deadlines.  They must thrive in a high energy, fast-paced environment, have exceptional organizational skills, have a proactive attitude, excellent people skills and a sincere interest in the GBU brands, strong understanding of the NPD toy super- categories (i.e. Preschool, Activities) and overall business. The AC is primarily responsible for ensuring that the Big Idea/Content (i.e. threadline) matches the approved GBU objectives, meets all COE tactic deadlines.

PROJECT LEADERSHIP:

 

  • Leads Account Team in daily deliverables, activities, budgets, and deadlines for COE and GBU meetings.
  • Drives the IMP cycle, including planning, design, development, testing, implementation and documentation.
  • Sharpens the positioning, target audience and brand/driver brief with Insights team.
  • Leads orderly, productive meetings and timely completion of project work.
  • Manages the overall IMP annual budget with production team (non-working) and (working).
  • Facilitates all administrative coordination between production dates and content upload/execution.
  • Leads internal meetings, partner and COE /GBU (i.e. brief kickoffs, brand immersions, weekly meetings, project post mortem), etc.
  • Manages large competitive reviews (i.e. SOV, Share of Market and other competitive reviews)
  • Adheres to the stated IMP process, approval cadence and GBU business rhythm

 

GBU/Brand PARTNERSHIP:

  • Thought partner for the Brand team
  • Expert on Brand and NPD Supercategories, , products, business culture and competitive set.
  • Strong understanding of advertising, digital, and media industry trends/developments and uses this knowledge to present business building ideas for the GBU, COE and Account Team.
  • Evaluates IMR, POS and KPI metrics program and performance measures for the entire IMP.
  • Supports and is present at industry events and toyfair to better understand the products, retailer comments and overall brands challenges

Job Requirements

 

You should apply if you have the following:

  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university (preferably in marketing, advertising or related field)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
  • Results oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to lead multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to lead a team and work independently
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail, reliably and great energy
  • Knowledge of all marketing program development and implementation
  • Knowledge of marketing communications or integrated marketing
  • Significant digital experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
  • Functional expertise within Agency or in-house Creative 4-10 years
  • Project management 4-10 years.
